checkin' in: day five

yoga - rolled out of bed into it (After peeing) (no, not in bed)
morning pages - in bedroom, on floor mat, right after yoga, while still sleepy (i "woke" up really early)

2750 cals or thereabouts - 300 before lunch, then maybe 1250? for lunch (potbelly sandwich and mocha shake), then dinner out at the bookstore (a way too tall veggie sandwich that i had to take most of the stuff off of to get it to fit in my mouth, so i think all i really ate was the bread and hummus and a little lettuce. there were chips on the side. almond latte. ben & jerry's ice cream bar from 7-11 while waiting for the 11 pm bus home

no real exercise, except the yoga - oh, and i did walk those 6 long blocks from the bookstore to the metro, but only one way, and rather leisurely. i did a few sit-ups this morning, and will likely do a few more before bed.

oh, and i lit my morning candle, earlier than last time, and with more meditiation time

i had the lovely realization at the bookstore tonight, which i'd had before but forgotten; while looking at a book about gray whales, i saw an adorable eerie picture of a newborn (hours old) baby gray whale, with it's umbilical cord still showing (broken off; i.e., not still attached to the mother) and i realized that i've been solely thinking of *people* being born and dying every day. but animals are, too, whales in the ocean, parrots in the jungle, a spider in the garden, a tree or an ant (or, i guess, a roach under my counter; ick) *any*way, it was a neat and widening realization
